Jacob Oppenheimer, MD

Urologist

Dr. Jacob Oppenheimer specializes in general urology with a focus on treating various cancers, including bladder, kidney, prostate, and testicular cancers. His clinical interests also encompass the diagnosis and treatment of incontinence, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and urethral strictures. Additionally, Dr. Oppenheimer employs advanced procedures for the prevention and treatment of kidney stones.

Dr. Oppenheimer earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He then pursued his medical education at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Following medical school, he completed a General Surgery Internship and Urology Residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he was honored with the William Glover, MD Patient-Centered Care Resident Award in 2018, recognizing his exceptional clinical skills and dedication to patient care.

Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Oppenheimer has conducted extensive research and has published work on topics such as bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and urology in microgravity conditions.

Dr. Oppenheimer is an active member of the American Urologic Association. Drawn to Colorado by his passion for the outdoors, he enjoys exploring remote trout streams in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana, a pursuit inspired by his background as a fly-fishing guide prior to medical school.
